Take me out to the Ballgame...

Riley loves baseball. there's baseball in Chicken Little, they sing "Take me out..." at Daycare. When we drive past Kauffman, she says "Daddy, Baseball Game!" Loves baseball, and I love that fact, because I think it's a wonderful game.

The Kansas City Royals held their first ever Fan Fest this weekend. We braved the bitter, bitter cold to go to it. Riley even wanted a pink baseball shirt. (we couldn't find a pink jersey, they're out of season.) So we bought her one once we where there. In a good/bad thing, they didn't have toddler sizes, so Riley's jersey is a children's Small. Plus, no pink, but I was able to easily talk her into the Powder Blue, which is an old school color that the Royals are bringing back. (it makes me think of the 1985 World Series team.) Plus, Once Riley outgrows it, it should fit Jackson, and we won't have to shame the boy by putting him in a Pink jersey.

So, here are pictures from the Fan Fest. There where huge lines of people waiting for autographs and pictures, which we didn't even try. Not with two strollers. But Riley looks freaking ADORABLE in powder blue.

The Crowd, and this was a short line.

Something seems odd in this picture. Filled with MLB stars, which I'm sure MLB had to approve... but there's Pete Rose, who's banned from all things MLB. Not that I mind. Pete Rose on the left, and Mike Schmidt on the right where two of my favs, in addition to George Brett.

Batting practice!

"Show mommy your new baseball shirt!"

She's either got an itch, or she's signaling me to bunt the runner over from first to second.

this is the ball jumper. She did fine at first, when there where only two kids in there. But it filled up, and as you can see, she got progessively more freaked out. I told her to crawl on her hands and knees to get out. Poor kid.

Last picture before the total freakout.

Jackson's 3 month Pictures

If I find time, I'll tell you the story of how Riley ran us ragged at Portrait Innovations. But instead I'll give you the best of the best from Jackson's photo session. The kid was in a spectacular mood, and we had a hard time choosing, as always.

and these two I took around the house. They'd be almost as good if I had PI's lighting and backdrops.

Video Fun
