The KING of the Blues
Jodie and I went to the BB King show at the Uptown last night, courtesy of my friend Boomer.
It's amazing the two totally different ways that both BB and Eric Clapton play.
We saw Eric early last year. He played flawlessly and without effort. A surgeon on the guitar, while his backing guitar player had to concentrate just to keep up. Clapton was great, but it seemed almost mechanical.
82 year old BB King sat on his chair, told us stories of segrigation, having kids, and how much he adores women. BB played just as good as Clapton, but that man was ENJOYING himself.
