My Baby and her Dog

It's always the little things that make being a parent fun.

This morning, I'm laying in bed, and I call Riley in the bedroom to come give me kisses. She pushes open the door, and sees Wookie standing beside the bed.

Then, casually and tenderly, she walks up to Wookie and gives him a hug. He nearly knocks her over of course. But seeing this girl just walk up to that dog and give him a hug or a kiss without provocation... I think she might be taking my dog away from me.

Those two love each other.

Man, this sucks!!!

I've been liking our vacuum cleaner less and less over the last few months, because it appears there's more stuff in the floor than it's sucking up.

Well, today we realized it wasn't doing hardly anything. I mean, if it can't pick up kitty litter off the carpet, it's time to get it fixed or move on.

We'd been eyeing those sweet Dyson Vacuums for some time. I lot of $$$ but everyone says they are the bomb! We had a coupon for 20% off at Bed Bath and Beyond, and went and purchased the Dyson DC 17. The good news is, we saved $110. (do the math to figure how much we spent.)

After vacuuming JUST THE LIVING ROOM I had to empty the container. GROSS! Half an hour later and one more full canister of fur and dust and gunk, our house is clean. Upstairs and down.

I cannot express how awesome this thing is. It's easy to use, handles well, and really REALLY sucks. In a good way.

We didn't get the one with "The ball" which is supposed to make it easier to steer around the house, but I had no problems driving the thing as it gobbled up Wookie, Molly and Lucy fur.
