Going overboard

We've both got a feeling that Riley will be our first and only child. Not for a lack of trying, just something of a feeling. So, instead of being casual about everything, we're talking ourselves into going overboard.

First of all, I'd said all along that I wasn't going to cut the Umbilical Cord. I figure it's a Doctors job to do those things. I don't pay her to write :30 copy for my clients, so why should I do her job? But, since I think I may never have another chance to do this, I'll do it. And then I'll hand her 5 bullet points, and a 5 second jingle Sing-Out and tell her to get it all written and under :30.

Secondly, as utterly gross and potentially disturbing, (and wonderful) as I think it's going to be. I think I'm gonna watch little RJ come out. Foot end. Now, as I've explained before... Foot end of the table is a bad things for men. You really don't want to see tools and fingers and such going in or coming out of "down there" unless they're "special" tools that you drunkenly bought in that store next to the bar... and they vibrate... and you put them there yourself. But I figure I'll may never ever get the chance to witness such a miracle... and while I'd like to be right there next to Jodie while she's giving birth, I think when push comes to shove, (sorry) I don't think she'll be paying much attention to me as she's "bearing down." So as gross as it will be, I think I'm gonna try the foot end of the table.

Finally, I always thought that 3D and 4D ultrasounds were a needless expense. "you'll see the baby soon enough," was what I thought. Well, having 3 ultrasounds early, and then the 20 week U/S, we're now at 28 weeks and I want to see my baby again. And since we may never have another chance to get one, we're going in for a 3D ultrasound this weekend, and will have some spectacular pics come this weekend. So stay tuned.
